The BlackStairs Adventure Race takes place on Sat 2nd June 2012 it is an adventure race with a difference in that we aim to cater for the athelete and their family. We want to ensure all our competitors enjoy the challenge at an affordable price without all the hidden extras, if you're fed up of forking out for accomodation on top of expensive entry fees then this is the race for you as we will provide basic indoor accomodation with a high standard race that should attract elite to beginner adventure racers.

All atheletes will have their times recorded and results will be available on the day.

The Event Start
The start for each event will take place in the village of Rathnure this is also the registration area. Rathnure is a small village in the foothills of the blackstairs mountains approx 8 miles from Enniscorthy, 9 miles from Bunclody and 10 miles from New Ross.

Stretching across the Carlow/Wexford borders with views down the South East coastline.
Griaguenemanagh - River Barrow Kayak
The Kilkenny village of Graiguenemanagh is the location for the Kayaking event.
Community Event
This is not a corporate event. All proceeds from the event will go directly back into the local community and facilities.
Family Event
On the day we will have field games and characters to entertain you and your family before during and after the race.
Professional Event
This is a professional event where we try to meet the same standards as other top class adventure races in Ireland today.
